چکیده مقاله:

Concrete bridges are commonly subjected to multiple types of loads during service, including distributed loads caused by traffic and structural self-weight, as well as concentrated loads resulting from vehicle wheel forces. Understanding the combined effect of these loading conditions is essential for ensuring structural safety and serviceability. This study investigates the structural response of an ۸ m single-span concrete bridge with a ۴۰ cm deck slab subjected to combined vertical distributed and concentrated loads using finite element analysis. The bridge model was developed to evaluate the stress distribution and vertical displacement under the applied loading conditions. The analysis focuses on identifying critical regions of stress concentration and maximum deflection within the bridge deck. The results demonstrate that the maximum displacement occurs near the mid-span of the bridge, which is consistent with the structural behavior of simply supported systems. Additionally, the stress distribution highlights critical zones beneath the applied loads, providing insight into potential structural vulnerabilities. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the structural performance of concrete bridge decks under combined loading scenarios and provide useful guidance for the design and evaluation of short-span concrete bridges.
