چکیده مقاله:

Concrete bridges play a critical role in transportation infrastructure, and understanding their structural response under different loading conditions is essential for safe and efficient design. This study investigates the structural behavior of an ۸ meter single-span concrete bridge with a ۳۰ cm thick deck slab subjected to combined loading conditions, including a ۵۰ kN vertical distributed load and a ۲۰۰ kN concentrated load applied at the mid-span. A detailed finite element model was developed using Abaqus to evaluate the mechanical response of the bridge deck. The analysis focused on determining the distribution of Von Mises stress and the vertical displacement (U۲) under the applied loading conditions. The numerical results indicate that the maximum stresses occur near the mid-span region due to the combined effect of the concentrated and distributed loads, while the maximum vertical displacement is also observed at the center of the span. The obtained results provide valuable insights into the structural performance of short-span concrete bridges with relatively thick deck slabs. The findings demonstrate that the geometric configuration and deck thickness significantly influence the stiffness and load-carrying capacity of the bridge. This study contributes to improving the understanding of bridge behavior under combined loading scenarios and provides a useful reference for the design and assessment of similar concrete bridge structures.
