The Linking of Population Growth and Natural Disaster Risk in Mega Cities

In last four decades natural disasters losses and population have been rising around the world. Population growth in the world has multiplied pressure on all renewable resources. Although mega cities have developed, natural disasters have affected on high population in these cities. This paper discusses the linking of population growth and natural disasters in mega cities. To reduce natural disaster impacts and vulnerability in mega cities, land use planning based on risk and natural disaster management plan is very necessary. Also increasing facilities and developed infrastructures can decrease negative impact of natural disasters
