Exploring the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping and Transforming Learners’ Personality Components

As an emerging technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrating into educational systems, profoundly influencing the diverse layers of learners’ personalities. This study employs a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the impact of AI on the personality development of learners. The findings reveal a dialectical relationship: AI can act as a catalyst for fostering positive personality traits—such as commitment, integrity, and innovation—yet, if misapplied, may undermine intellectual autonomy and agency. The research highlights a reciprocal interaction where individual personality traits shape the mode of AI engagement, which in turn reshapes the learner’s developmental trajectory. While AI holds the potential to enhance motivation, creativity, and metacognition, improper utilization poses significant risks, including cognitive laziness and the erosion of learner agency.
