چکیده مقاله:

BackgroundCathepsin B, is a cysteine lysosomal protease and is closely linked to neuroinflammatory response and oxidative stress in neurodegenerative disorders, motivates researchers to study the factors that impact it, including exercise and physical activity.MethodsA systematic literature search was performed for eligible studies published up to December ۳۱ ۲۰۲۴ on three international databases (PubMed, Scopus, and Web Of Science). All analyses were conducted using Comprehensive Meta Analysis V۳. According to absence of heterogeneity between studies, a fixed-effect model was used for this meta-analysis. ResultsThere were ۶ trials that included a sample size of ۲۰۵ subjects. Most intervention groups showed improvement in cognition of included subjects measured by the cognitive tests compared to the control groups but there was no significant correlation between CTSB enhancement and cognitive function by exercise among studies.ConclusionsAccording to our findings, it is necessary to conduct more detailed and extensive studies to determine if Cathepsin B is a suitable factor for the relationship between exercise and cognitive performance.
