چکیده مقاله:
The rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence has fundamentally transformed educational environments, raising profound philosophical questions about the nature and purpose of education. While AI systems increasingly demonstrate remarkable capabilities in delivering instruction, providing personalized feedback, and supporting learning processes, a fundamental question remains unresolved: Can artificial intelligence genuinely educate, or can it merely facilitate instruction? This paper addresses this question through a philosophical analysis of the conceptual distinction between education, instruction, and human formation. Employing a qualitative philosophical inquiry based on conceptual analysis and critical examination of contemporary literature, the study investigates the epistemological, ethical, anthropological, and relational dimensions of education that distinguish human pedagogy from machine-based instruction. The findings suggest that although AI can effectively enhance cognitive learning, automate instructional tasks, and improve educational accessibility, it lacks essential characteristics required for genuine education, including moral agency, intentionality, empathy, existential understanding, practical wisdom, and reciprocal human relationships. Consequently, AI should be understood as an educational instrument rather than an educational subject. The paper proposes a human-centered philosophical framework in which artificial intelligence complements—but never replaces—the educator's role in cultivating autonomy, ethical judgment, critical thinking, and human flourishing. By redefining the boundaries between technological capability and educational responsibility, this study contributes to contemporary philosophy of education and provides a conceptual foundation for integrating AI into education without compromising the fundamentally human nature of educational practice.
