چکیده مقاله:

Introduction and Objective: Mass human gatherings present unprecedented challenges in health management, needs forecasting, and crisis response. Artificial Intelligence (AI), as a transformative technology, holds significant potential to improve the management of such events. This study aims to investigate AI applications in mass gatherings and identify existing research gaps. Methods: This systematic review was conducted by searching PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and IEEE Xplore databases using the keywords "Artificial Intelligence," "Mass Gathering," "Decision Support Systems," and "Crowd Management" from ۲۰۲۰ to ۲۰۲۶. Out of ۸۹ articles, ۲۱ eligible studies were included. Results: The findings indicate that AI is applied in four main areas in mass gatherings: Decision support tools, including risk assessment, simulation, and statistical modeling; Crowd prediction systems using machine learning; Rapid vital sign detection and intelligent triage; Early warning systems for infectious diseases. Furthermore, other studies suggest that integrating AI with blockchain technology could fundamentally transform population health tracking and control during large-scale events. The World Health Organization (WHO), in its ۲۰۲۶ operational guide, has also recommended using AI-based simulations to enhance preparedness for mass gatherings. Conclusion: AI can significantly improve health management in mass gatherings; however, substantial research gaps remain. In particular, the practical implementation of AI tools is complex, and their real-world impact remains unclear. Therefore, AI tools must be developed with the capacity for continuous updating. Additionally, strengthening international collaborations for data sharing represents a key priority for future research.
