چکیده مقاله:
Artificial intelligence has rapidly transformed translation practices, particularly through neural machine translation (NMT) and AI‑assisted editing tools. While most research has focused on post‑editing machine translation outputs, relatively little attention has been paid to the reverse workflow: the use of artificial intelligence to assist in the post‑editing of human translations. This study explores how AI‑assisted tools can support the revision and refinement of Persian literary translations in the Iranian context. The research investigates translation workflows that integrate human translators with AI‑driven language models and editing systems. Using a case‑study approach, the study examines the potential role of AI in improving stylistic consistency, lexical choice, and structural coherence in Persian literary translation. The research draws on existing literature in translation studies, computer‑assisted translation (CAT), and AI‑assisted writing technologies published between ۲۰۱۸ and ۲۰۲۵. A mixed‑method design is proposed, combining qualitative analysis of translation workflows with survey data from students and trainee translators in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, Iran. The findings highlight both opportunities and challenges associated with AI‑assisted post‑editing in literary contexts. While AI systems can enhance efficiency and provide valuable linguistic suggestions, they also raise concerns regarding stylistic authenticity, translator agency, and cultural nuance. The study suggests that AI should be viewed not as a replacement for human translators but as a collaborative tool that enhances the translator’s creative and editorial capacities. The results contribute to ongoing discussions on human‑AI collaboration in translation and provide insights into future workflows in Persian literary translation.
