چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Fundamental motor skill (FMS) learning during childhood is the foundation of sustainable participation in physical activities and lifelong health. Traditional teaching methods are primarily based on demonstration and verbal correction, lacking sufficient effectiveness and attractiveness for children. This study aimed to investigate the effect of deep learning-based augmented reality (AR) on FMS learning in elementary school students.Methodology: In this quasi-experimental study, ۸۰ students (۴۰ females, ۴۰ males) with a mean age of ۸.۵±۰.۸ years were randomly assigned to experimental (n=۴۰) and control (n=۴۰) groups. The experimental group received FMS training using a deep learning-based AR application providing real-time personalized feedback for ۱۲ weeks (۲ sessions/week). The control group received identical training via traditional methods. FMS including locomotion, object control, and balance were assessed using the TGMD-۳.Findings: After ۱۲ weeks, the experimental group demonstrated significant improvements in total FMS score (from ۴۵.۳±۸.۲ to ۶۸.۲±۶.۷; P<۰.۰۰۱), locomotion (from ۲۲.۸±۴.۵ to ۳۵.۱±۳.۳; P<۰.۰۰۱), and object control (from ۲۲.۵±۴.۳ to ۳۳.۱±۳.۸; P<۰.۰۰۱) compared to controls. Effect sizes ranged from ۰.۷۸ to ۰.۹۱. Motivation was significantly higher in the experimental group (P<۰.۰۰۱).Conclusion: Deep learning-based AR can serve as an effective and engaging educational tool for FMS learning in elementary students, improving motivation and learning quality through personalized feedback.
