چکیده مقاله:

Green synthesis of metallic nanoparticles using plant derived biomolecules has emerged as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional chemical synthesis methods. In the present study, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were synthesized using blueberry extract as a natural source of reducing and stabilizing biomolecules. The synthesized AuNPs were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and zeta potential analysis to investigate their surface associated functional groups, hydrodynamic size, size distribution, and colloidal stability. FTIR analysis revealed characteristic absorption bands at approximately ۳۴۲۴, ۲۹۲۱, and ۲۸۵۶ cm⁻¹, indicating the presence of hydroxyl- and C–H containing functional groups associated with blueberry derived biomolecules. DLS analysis showed a mean hydrodynamic diameter of ۵۰۷.۶ nm and a polydispersity index (PDI) of ۰.۶۲۲, indicating a broad size distribution and the presence of aggregation in aqueous suspension. The zeta potential was measured as −۱۰.۲ mV, indicating a negatively charged nanoparticle surface but relatively limited electrostatic stabilization. Overall, the findings suggest that blueberry derived biomolecules were associated with the AuNP surface and contributed to nanoparticle formation and surface functionalization. However, the relatively low magnitude of the zeta potential was associated with limited colloidal stability and a tendency toward aggregation. These findings demonstrate the potential of blueberry extract as a biological resource for the green synthesis of AuNPs.
