چکیده مقاله:

This study presents a numerical investigation of nanofiltration (NF) membrane performance in desalination systems using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling. The primary objective is to analyze the distribution of flow, concentration, and pressure within the membrane domain, and to evaluate the influence of key operational parameters such as inlet flow velocity, operating pressure, and inlet flow angle on treatment efficiency and fouling propensity. Results demonstrate that increasing the inlet flow velocity and optimizing the flow angle significantly reduce concentration nonuniformity and lower the fouling rate at the membrane surface. Furthermore, multiphase modeling combined with advanced mass transfer models enables more accurate prediction of system behavior. This research provides a reliable framework for the optimal design of NF based desalination systems and validates the effectiveness of numerical simulation methods in enhancing water treatment technologies.
