چکیده مقاله:
Magnesium–tannic acid (TA–Mg) nanoparticles were synthesized through metal–phenolic network (MPN) coordination to develop a bioinspired nanomaterial with potential biomedical applications. The aim of this study was to fabricate TA–Mg nanoparticles via Mg²⁺–polyphenol interactions and to investigate their structural and physicochemical properties relevant to wound dressing and tissue engineering materials. The morphology and elemental composition of the synthesized nanoparticles were examined using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), confirming the formation of nanoparticles and the successful incorporation of magnesium within the tannic acid matrix. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) revealed shifts in the phenolic C–O stretching bands, indicating coordination between Mg²⁺ ions and the phenolic groups of tannic acid. X ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed a broad amorphous pattern characteristic of metal–phenolic network structures. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA/DTG) further demonstrated enhanced thermal stability of the TA–Mg nanoparticles compared with pure tannic acid, suggesting improved structural robustness resulting from metal–phenolic coordination. In addition, zeta potential measurements indicated a positive surface charge (~+۱۹.۵ mV), suggesting moderate colloidal stability and potential compatibility with negatively charged biopolymers commonly used in hydrogel and coating systems. Overall, the results confirm the successful synthesis of TA–Mg nanoparticles and highlight their promise as functional nanocomponents for advanced biomaterials in wound healing and tissue engineering.
