چکیده مقاله:

This study presents a comprehensive numerical investigation of the hydrodynamics and heat transfer characteristics within jet fluidized beds, employing the Volume of Fluid (VOF) method for precise interface tracking by employing ANSYS Fluent software. The research systematically analyzes the influence of key dimensionless parameters, including the Reynolds number (Re), capillary number (Ca), density ratio (α), and viscosity ratio (λ), on the dynamics of a deformable droplet within a vertical Poiseuille flow. Simulations reveal that increasing the Reynolds number induces greater droplet deformation and lateral migration, often leading to breakup at higher values due to dominant inertial forces. Variations in the density and viscosity ratios are shown to significantly alter the droplet's equilibrium position, deformation rate, and axial velocity, with higher-density droplets experiencing greater gravitational pull and reduced axial speed, while increased internal viscosity enhances droplet stability against deformation. The findings provide critical insights into multiphase flow behavior, offering valuable guidelines for the design and optimization of microfluidic systems, chemical reactors, and industrial processes involving complex fluid-particle interactions.
