چکیده مقاله:
The need for optimal application of energy resources and reduction of environmental pollutants has led to the development of energy systems. In this regard, one of the proposed options is tri-generation systems. In the present paper, the tri-generation system of power, steam, and hydrogen for Tehran was presented and analyzed in terms of energy and exergy. Two E-class Siemens Gas Turbines (SGT۵-۲۰۰۰E) with a nominal capacity of ۱۵۸.۹۳ MW are located upstream, and the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), Solar Field (SF), Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), and Proton Exchange Membrane Electrolyzer (PEME) are located downstream. Two commercial and engineering tools, THERMOFLEX and MATLAB employed for thermodynamic simulation. The proper configuration has achieved an energy efficiency of up to ۸۵.۸۳%, which is impressive. Due to the strong solar radiation and long days in June, it is the SF design basis. The SF area is ۱۰۵۱۰۶ m۲. The power, steam, and hydrogen production are equal to ۲۴۳.۵ MW, ۱۳۳.۵ kg/s, and ۱۸.۱ kg/h, respectively. The energy efficiency of the integrated system is higher than that of each subsystem, which indicates a proper configuration. R۱۴۱b has the best performance in terms of energy and exergy. By implementing the fuel-product approach in exergy analysis, it was found that more than ۷۴% of the total exergy destruction occurred in GTs. This shows the necessity of thermal recovery of the flue gases. The maximum exergy efficiency is observed in the air compressor (AC). Adding other units downstream of GTs increases exergy destruction by about ۳۵% and exergy efficiency by ۵۴.۳%, which indicates the positive effect of this measure. The best exergy efficiency is calculated in January at ۵۳.۲۱%. The proposed configuration recovers ۸۸.۲% of the GT’s wasted exergy. Therefore, based on the product output capacity as well as energy and exergy efficiencies, the proposed system can be deployed as a stand-alone or a utility hybrid system.
