چکیده مقاله:

The year ۲۰۳۰ marks the climax of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this regard, it is important to explore the multifaceted approaches and actions that advance the achievement of the SDGs. This study examines the role of socially responsible procurement practices (SRPP) in the achievement of SDG ۸, with a focus on the moderating role of procurement regulatory compliance (PRCP). A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was administered to ۲۹۸ procurement practitioners and socio-economic development experts in the Dodoma region of Tanzania. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and moderated multiple regression were used to test the proposed model hypotheses. The findings show that both SRPP and PRCP significantly and positively influence the achievement of SDG ۸. Moreover, the findings affirm PRCP as a critical factor that facilitate the effectiveness of SRPP in achieving SDG ۸. The study highlights the importance of aligning procurement strategies with sustainable development goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks that support social responsibility. In essence, the study recommends reinforcing robust control mechanisms, strong leadership, commitment, and capacity-building programs for procurement practitioners and socio-economic development experts to enhance PRCP, SRPP practices, and the achievement of the SDGs.
