چکیده مقاله:
This study focuses on the optimization of the reaction operating conditions of the alkyl-phenol-based detergent-dispersant additive of AKI-۱۵۱ by employing the methodology called “Response Surface” as part of Central Composite Design (CCD). [۲۲] AKI-۱۵۱ is synthesized via the two-stage condensation of main reactant of alkyl-phenol with formaldehyde and imidazole which continues with the neutralization and carbonation of the intermediate product using Ca(OH)۲ and CO۲. ۴ Input Variables (the mass of formaldehyde and imidazole, Ca(OH)۲ / CO۲ molar ratio and carbonation temperature (T۲)) were identified at the initiation step of the mathematical analysis with the target of optimizing the Total Base Number (TBN) of the final product which has the minimized corrosiveness and viscosity for efficient motor oil performance. Predictive quadratic models were developed as suggested by Design Expert V۱۳ software by utilizing a dataset of ۳۰ runs (۱۱ experimental and ۱۹ synthetic points). The results from the model were found to be statistically significant, with predicted R۲ values ranging between ۰.۵۵ – ۰.۶۳ for the outputs of TBN, corrosiveness, and viscosity. The optimized AKI-۱۵۱ additive provides increased alkalinity and improved corrosion resistance, which directly reduces wear, corrosion, and deposit formation in engines and rotating equipment used across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas operations. The findings from the optimization study confirmed that AKI-۱۵۱ performed as a strong candidate for achieving high alkalinity, with controlled rheological and anti-corrosion properties for advanced motor-oil formulations.
