چکیده مقاله:

Music performance is one of the most important aspects of both classical and contemporary music. A successful performance requires not only technical skill but also emotional understanding, interpretation, and artistic expression. In classical music, performers are expected to follow stylistic traditions while conveying the emotional depth of the composition. In contrast, contemporary music provides greater freedom for interpretation and encourages performers to explore new techniques, sounds, and expressive possibilities. This review article examines emotional expression, correct performance practice, dynamics, tempo, and the role of performers in both classical and contemporary music. It also discusses how performers communicate emotions through musical interpretation and technical control. Furthermore, the article highlights the differences between traditional classical performance and modern contemporary approaches by analyzing examples from composers such as Chopin, Vivaldi, John Cage, Philip Glass, and Steve Reich. The study concludes that musical performance is not limited to technical accuracy; rather, it is a combination of artistic understanding, creativity, and emotional communication between the performer and the audience.
