چکیده مقاله:

Thulium tungstate (Tm۲WO۶) nanostructures have attracted considerable attention because of their unique optical, luminescent, and photocatalytic properties. In this study, Tm۲WO۶ nanostructures were synthesized via a simple aqueous coprecipitation method under mild reaction conditions. Tris(salicylaldehydato)thulium(III) [Tm(Sal)] was employed as the thulium precursor, while sodium tungstate dihydrate served as the tungsten source. The reaction was carried out in distilled water at ۵۰ °C for ۲ h, leading to the formation of an amorphous precursor. The precursor was subsequently calcined at ۷۰۰ °C for ۳ h to obtain crystalline Tm۲WO۶ nanostructures. The final product was washed thoroughly and dried under vacuum at ۶۰ °C. The synthesized material was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). XRD analysis confirmed the formation of a single-phase monoclinic wolframite Tm۲WO۶ with no detectable impurity phases. FTIR spectra exhibited the characteristic W-O vibrational bands of the tungstate framework, while SEM images revealed relatively uniform nanosphere-like particles with limited agglomeration. The proposed synthesis route is simple, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective, providing an efficient strategy for the preparation of high-quality Tm۲WO۶ nanostructures for potential optical, luminescent, and photocatalytic applications.
