An Analysis of the Role of Fate and Destiny in the Tragedy of Rostam and Sohrab in the Shahnameh

This article examines the role of fate and destiny in the tragedy of Rostam and Sohrab from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh. In this article, we have tried to first place the audience in the story of Rostam and Sohrab and then go into its details. In the middle sections of this research, a section entitled Definitions is considered, where difficult words are traced, and in the background section, theories or other scientific articles that have dealt with this topic are mentioned. The importance of this topic can also be noted in the number of articles presented on this topic, which has always been one of the basic questions in the story of Shahnameh. In the data section, we have also analyzed this topic from different dimensions and examined the role of fate on each of the characters in the story. In this research, a library method has been used and an attempt has always been made to cite the sources accurately.
