Cyanotic Congenital Heart Diseases

The cyanotic congenital heart diseases are a sort of cardiac problems usually noticed for the first time, in labors, because of the bluish discoloration of the mucous membranes and skin of newborns, by obstetricians and pediatricians. It consists of a wide spectrum of entities which carry with them a common trait i.e "cyanosis". In this lecture a brief review of the different forms of this type of CHD will be presented. Among the more common of the diseases, Tetralogy of Fallot, Transposition of the Great Arteries, Truncus Arteriosus, Tricuspid Atresia and so on will be discussed. Also a few surgical procedures will also be demonstrated schematically.
