Application of Blockchain Technology in Promoting E-Commerce:With an Emphasis on Smart Contracts and Cybersecurity

Blockchain technology, as a distributed and decentralized system, with the ability to record immutable records and use advanced cryptography, has a high potential to promote security and transparency in digital transactions. E-commerce, as one of the fastest growing areas of the digital economy, faces challenges such as cybersecurity, customer trust, and transaction efficiency. This study aimed to examine the role of blockchain in the development of e-commerce, with an emphasis on smart contracts and cybersecurity. The research method was a systematic literature review, during which ۳۴ articles were identified. After initial refinement, ۱۶ articles were selected and finally ۱۱ articles were analyzed based on inclusion criteria including subject relevance and scientific quality. The results show that blockchain can significantly improve security, transparency, and trust in e-commerce by decentralizing data, automating processes, and eliminating intermediaries.
