Two Simple Constructive Algorithms to Address a Home Healthcare Routing Problem

The last century has seen a quick growth in terms of population of older than ۶۰ year-old for both developed and even developing countries. On the other hand, the number of hospitals, retirement homes and medical staff has not been increased in a same rate. Hence, home healthcare is developed recently during three last decades to supply the demands of informal cares for elderly persons. The home healthcare is generally defined as a set of nurses to visit the patients at their homes. Nurses present several services including housekeeping, nursing and providing required drugs for each patients and etc. This paper proposes a new formulation for home healthcare routing problem by proposing two novel simple constructive algorithms to solve it. Results confirm the efficiency of second developed algorithm as well as the performance of proposed formulation during different problem complexities.
