چکیده مقاله:

This paper proposes a fixed-time sliding mode controller (FTSMC) for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of a wind turbine operating in Region II. The control objective is to drive the rotor angular speed to its optimal value. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is validated using a high-fidelity aeroelastic wind turbine model implemented in OpenFAST. A comparative study with a conventional sliding mode controller (SMC) is conducted in terms of tracking error, electrical power generation, generator torque behavior, and angular speed regulation. Simulation results show that the FTSMC achieves faster fixed-time convergence, reduced tracking error, and smoother generator operation, resulting in improved power capture and MPPT performance under realistic operating conditions.
