چکیده مقاله:

One of the key factors in implant success is maintaining a mechanical and biological balance between the implant and the surrounding bone. Achieving this requires an appropriate level of load transfer to the peri-implant bone tissue. To the best of our knowledge, few studies have investigated the mechanical behavior of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) based root analogue implants (RAI), particularly the effect of porous RAI implant geometry on elastic strain in mandible. In this study, we have evaluated the tensile strain in solid and Gyroid-based RAI implants and their surrounding bone, and examined how implant geometry effects strain distribution in peri-implant bone. In addition, the implant models were fabricated using ۳D printing, and experimental quasi-static compression tests were performed to validate the numerical findings. The analysis showed that the gyroid-based implant exhibited significantly higher elastic strain (۵۸۵۰۰۰ µε), suggesting enhanced load transfer to the holder compared with the solid implant, which exhibited minimal holder strain.
