چکیده مقاله:
Environmental concerns arising from fossil fuel consumption have shifted global attention toward renewable energy sources. Among these, solar energy and photovoltaic (PV) technology have experienced significant growth in recent years. However, conventional land-based PV systems require extensive land areas, leading many countries particularly those with limited space to adopt floating photovoltaic (FPV) systems. These systems offer numerous advantages, including higher electrical energy conversion efficiency (۱۰% to ۱۵% greater than land-based systems), significant reduction of water evaporation (up to ۸۰%, depending on surface coverage), improved water quality by suppressing excessive algal growth, and lower maintenance requirements. This study investigates the technical and economic aspects of FPV systems, with a specific focus on their application in Iran. Economic assessments indicate that while FPV installation costs are approximately ۲۵% higher than ground-mounted systems, their environmental and operational benefits are substantial. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of optimizing surface coverage to balance algal suppression with the ecological requirements of water bodies.
