Au‑doped NH₂‑MIL‑۱۲۵(Ti) photocatalysts were synthesized via an in-situ doping method. Characterization (FT‑IR, XRD, FE‑SEM, TEM, BET‑BJH, and UV–Vis) confirmed the successful formation of the hybrid structure. The Au‑doped samples showed significantly improved visible‑light photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange compared with pristine NH₂‑MIL‑۱۲۵(Ti). The ۱.۵ wt% Au‑NH₂‑MIL‑۱۲۵(Ti) sample exhibited the highest activity, with a rate constant ۱۰.۴ times higher than that of the undoped material. The enhancement is attributed to improved visible‑light absorption and more efficient charge separation. Moreover, the catalyst showed good stability over four cycles, with holes and hydroxyl radicals identified as the main active species.
