چکیده مقاله:
Opportunity portfolio in industrial organizations. The main issue addressed is that organizations are typically faced with multiple opportunities, such as entering new markets, product development, technology investment, or value chain expansion, while their financial resources, time, operational capacity, and risk tolerance are limited. Within this framework, business intelligence (BI) is considered a source of data and decision-making indicators. BI-derived data are transformed into indicators such as market attractiveness, expected profitability, strategic alignment, feasibility, risk, cost, implementation time, and synergy, which are then incorporated into a binary integer programming model. The model's objective is to select a combination of opportunities that maximizes overall value while simultaneously satisfying budgetary, operational capacity, time, risk, incompatibility, and dependency constraints among opportunities. Numerical results obtained in a GAMS environment demonstrate that the individually best opportunities do not necessarily constitute the optimal portfolio. The model can also generate multiple alternative portfolios for various managerial scenarios, such as maximum growth, risk-value balance, budget limitation, or risk-averse strategies.
