چکیده مقاله:
The objective of the research is to explain the pattern of interaction between the Islamic government and its opponents based on the life of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj al-Balagha. The government's interaction with political opponents, as one of the fundamental principles of government in Islamic political theory, plays a decisive and pivotal role in establishing the legitimacy of the system, maintaining sustainable social cohesion, ensuring national security, and strengthening public consensus and political stability. The question is; What strategies and methods did Imam Ali (AS) use in his interaction with his opponents? The method/approach is descriptive-analytical, text-based interpretation, and is carried out using a combined theoretical framework (combining Islamic principles and modern political theories).Results/Findings The findings from the text of Nahj al-Balagha show three major approaches: moral, educational, and military in the type of interaction with opponents. Imam Ali (AS) presented a systematic typology of opponents based on the principles of the Islamic state's progress and taking into account the time-space conditions, and applied different and appropriate strategies for constructive interaction. Conclusion The most important interaction strategies include: active tolerance, forgiveness, and rational dialogue with unarmed opponents, and conditional, proportionate, and religiously-based coercive confrontation with armed rebels. This advanced model is based on a structural distinction between "legitimate and legal opposition" and "violent armed rebellion" and emphasizes that the moral and legitimate use of force is permissible only in cases of severe violations of national security and existential threats to the integrity of the Islamic system.
