چکیده مقاله:
Considering the significance of progressive collapse in double-layer space trusses, it is crucial to implement specific measures during the design phase of these structures to mitigate the risk of such failures. One of the most effective and widely accepted methods for designing structures to be robust against progressive collapse is the Alternate Path Method (APM). This method allows for an initial local failure to occur, while simultaneously providing alternative load paths to absorb the initial damage and prevent its propagation throughout the structure, thus averting a total collapse. The sudden nature of the initial local failure can lead to severe dynamic effects, which must be considered when evaluating the structure's collapse behavior. By taking into account both linear and nonlinear static behavior, this method can realistically assess a structure's collapse behavior and the risk of progressive collapse.
