چکیده مقاله:
In the contemporary global economy, logistics infrastructure, customs administration, and supply chain management are considered among the most influential determinants of economic growth and international competitiveness. Public warehouses and customs services play a pivotal role in facilitating international trade, reducing transaction costs, accelerating cargo circulation, and enhancing national productivity. In developing economies such as Iran, where foreign trade and transit revenues constitute a significant component of economic development strategies, the efficiency of customs systems and warehousing infrastructure directly affects macroeconomic indicators, particularly Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This study investigates the role of public warehouses and customs services in improving Iran's GDP by analyzing their impact on trade facilitation, logistics efficiency, investment attraction, and economic productivity. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology based on library research, economic reports, institutional data, and theoretical analysis of trade and logistics frameworks. The findings reveal that modernization of customs procedures, digital transformation of trade documentation, development of public warehouses, reduction of cargo clearance time, and integration of logistics networks significantly contribute to economic growth through enhanced exports, increased trade volume, reduced transaction costs, and improved investment climate. Moreover, the study demonstrates that efficient customs governance and strategic warehousing systems can transform Iran into a regional logistics hub due to its geostrategic location connecting Central Asia, the Persian Gulf, the Caucasus, and Europe. The paper concludes that substantial investment in customs modernization, logistics infrastructure, and integrated warehousing systems is essential for sustainable economic growth and GDP enhancement in Iran.
