چکیده مقاله:

Willingness to communicate (WTC) is considered a key factor in the field of second language learning. It is viewed as a fundamental component of language use and a key element in enhancing communicative competence. This paper reviews four empirical studies to examine Ideal L۲ Self (ILS) and L۲ Learning Experience (L۲LE) as predictors of WTC. The review revealed that both predict WTC, but ILS is stronger. L۲LE varies across contexts. These findings have implications for educators and teachers to enhance WTC by focusing on ILS and creating positive environments. However, the role of motivational factors was examined across various contexts, there is also a need for further research in small contexts such as Velayat University of Iranshahr
