چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim: Addiction has environmental, social, physiological and psychological aspects. But psychological factors are more very important because of affecting on behaviour and thinking of addicted people. Methods The research method was causative comparative. ۲۹ addicted people and ۲۹ nonaddicted people were selected and paranoid thoughts questionnaire (PTQ), and Big five personality traits inventory (NEO) were administered on them. The data were analyzed with MANOVA formula. Results: So, the aim of study was to compare personality traits and paranoid thoughts in addicted and nonaddicted people. Conclusion: Results: Findings showed that there are significant differences between personality traits and paranoid thoughts in addicted and nonaddicted people. Addicted people got higher and significant scores in neuroticism and paranoid thoughts than nonaddicted people, and nonaddicted people got higher and significant scores in extraversion and conscientious than addicted people at the level of ۰.۰۱ and ۰.۰۰۱. Based on research it is concluded that personality traits and paranoid thoughts are important factors in the behavior of people especially in tendency to addiction.
