چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim: Lateralization refers to the functional partitioning of information processing between the two hemispheres of the brain. Methods: This descriptive-comparative causal study was performed on ۲۰۰ (۱۰۱ Female and ۹۹ Males) undergraduate students in Kangavar Payame Noor University and Islamic Azad University- Kangavar branch who were selected from different academic disciplines by quota sampling. Subjects completed two scales of contextualized multiple intelligences scale (consist of six subscales: learning, social, cultural, economic, political and technical or organizational intelligence) and Waterloo footedness questionnaire-revised. Data were analyzed and processed using descriptive statistics and T test, by SPSS-۲۲. Results: The present study was conducted to compare contextualized multiple intelligences based on Pentagon theory among right-footed and left-footed college students. Conclusion revealed that overall, ۲۱ out of the ۲۰۰ their scores on Waterloo footedness questionnaire-revised were above cut off point. In total, there was no significant difference between the two groups (right and left footedness) at six types of intelligence (P>۰.۰۵). More empirical researches on various statistical populations help us to understand the differences between right and left footedness in general intelligence and specifically in different types of intelligence.
