چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease of increasing prevalence and primarily affects the elderly population. It is characterized by loss of cognitive function across multiple domains including early loss of episodic memory, loss of executive control, language and behavioral dysregulation. Electrophysiological measures, such as cognitive event-related potentials (ERPs), are also used as an objective biological measure of changes in the brain functioning in AD patients. So the aim of this study was to effect of auditory event-related potentials (ERPs) in Alzheimer disease (AD) patients.
Methods: This review article is about evaluate auditory event-related potentials (ERPs) in Alzheimer disease (AD) patients were extracted from Science Direct, Pro quest and Pub med Data Bases. ۱۳ articles had been selected according to inclusion criteria from ۲۰۱۴ to ۲۰۱۸ and ۳ of them had been deleted by exclusion criteria.
Results: effect of auditory event-related potentials (ERPs) in Alzheimer disease (AD) patients
Conclusion: RESULTS: Subjects with mild AD showed lower amplitude and increased latency for ERP features associated with attention, working memory, and executive function. They could be useful in differentiating patients with MCI (mild cognitive impairment) and early AD from healthy controls as well as in predicting conversion from MCI to AD. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, analysis of data collected from this large multicenter study closely reflects findings reported from research laboratories on changes in ERP measures in subjects with AD. Analysis of ERP data showed significant changes in subjects with mild AD that are consistent with the cognitive deficits found in this population. ERPs are unique measurements of brain activity offering information about the reactivity of the brain with high temporal resolution.
