Background and Aim: Introduction: Tinnitus is the conscious perception of sound in the absence of an internal or external acoustic signal, so we compared the resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) patterns of tinnitus patients and healthy controls. Resting state fMRI measurements seem well suited to identify the neural structures, sub networks and hubs involved in tinnitus. Methods Method: This review article is about effect of Resting state fMRI measurements to identify the neural structures, sub networks and hubs involved in tinnitus patients were extracted from Science Direct, Pro cues and Pub med Data Bases. ۱۵ articles had been selected according to inclusion criteria from ۲۰۱۲ to ۲۰۱۸ and ۴ of them had been deleted by exclusion criteria. Results identify the neural structures, sub networks and hubs involved in tinnitus. Conclusion: RESULTS: Chronic tinnitus patients demonstrated increased functional connectivity between the cerebellum and several cerebral regions. These results suggest that tinnitus distress is exacerbated by attention networks that focus on internally generated phantom sounds. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, chronic tinnitus patients showed abnormal intra and interregional synchronization in several resting-state cerebral networks; these abnormalities were correlated with clinical tinnitus distress. The chronic tinnitus patients experienced enhanced resting-state cerebellar functional connectivity to the auditory cortex and to non-auditory brain regions.
