Background and Aim: Specific deficit in theory of mind has been proposed to explain the distinct pattern of social/cognitive deficits in autistic individuals. However, it is clear that a number of children are able to demonstrate knowledge of mental states in others an important question is what particularly characterizes those autistic children who do show theory of mind so in this study we evaluated relationship Cognitive linguistic and theory of mind in autistic children. Methods: This review article is about Cognitive linguistic correlates of 'theory of mind' ability in autistic children from Science Direct, Pro quest and Pub med Data Bases. ۱۰ articles had been selected according to inclusion criteria from ۲۰۱۴ to ۲۰۱۹ and ۳ of them had been deleted by exclusion criteria. Results: The aims of this study were thus to provide further investigation of theory of mind abilities in a sample of autistic children and in particular to examine the cognitive-linguistic correlates of the capacity for understanding false belief in other people. Conclusion Results: Our results support the likelihood of a developmental delay in theory of mind in autism rather than endorsing the notion that this is a specific deficit with pervasive explanatory power. However, the findings might also support the 'continuum' conceptualization of autism with more mildly autistic children able to demonstrate knowledge of mental states and to develop adequate pragmatic language competence. conclusion: this study suggests that as is the case with normal young children the development of theory of mind abilities in autistic children is related to developmental factors especially facility with language.
