چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim: English language as an international language is used in economical, industrial, educational, research and scientific activities in all around the world. The need to learn English language as an important tool to communicate with other countries with various cultures is increased. Methods: The research method was correlational. ۱۰۵ secondary school students were selected and responded to Angle and Early Cultural Intelligence (۲۰۰۴) and Drodynejad's language motivation questionnaire (۲۰۱۵). Also, score of general English exam was used for learning English. The data were analyzed with Pearson correlation formula and stepwise liner regression. Results So, the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between cultural metacognitive strategy and language learning motivation with learning English in students. Conclusion: Findings showed that there is positive and significant correlation between cultural metacognitive strategy and language learning motivation with learning English in students at the level of ۰.۰۰۵. Also, regression analysis showed that cultural metacognitive strategy can predict learning English in students. Based on the findings of the present study cultural metacognitive strategy and language learning motivation are important factors in learning English in students. They can be associated with effective learning in classroom environment and community that influence on individual's perceptions of about learning English.
