چکیده مقاله:

The performance of air conditioning system in vehicles is an essential factor for thermal comfort and driving safety of the passenger compartment of vehicles. An advanced one-dimensional simulation is required to evaluate the performance and thermal comfort of this system. In this study, the cabin cooling and heating based on the compression refrigerant cycle and PTC heater subsystem of an electric vehicle is simulated in the Simscape of Simulink/Matlab software. The center air vent temperature is modeled in the electric vehicle cabin for the same conditions as in the experiments. The simulation accurately predicted the center air vent temperature with differences of less than ۲°C compared with the experimental data and the accuracy of the simulation model is about ۹۱% and it provides a robust framework for evaluating the control logic of the thermal management system under different ambient conditions and AC operation mode. The simulated stabilized center air vent temperature at critical ambient temperature of ۳۵°C is about ۱۱°C and according to the performance charts, the AC system performed within an optimal range.
