چکیده مقاله:

This review establishes a clear hierarchy among hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) powertrains by comparing integrated power-split Dedicated Hybrid Transmissions (DHTS) like the Toyota Hybrid System (THS) with parallel P۱-P۳ architectures. The findings demonstrate that power-split DHTS achieve superior fuel economy and more seamless performance, a direct result of their core ability to decouple engine speed from wheel speed and optimize combustion engine operation. Although P۳ parallel systems can deliver strong acceleration, they and other parallel configurations consistently fall short of the efficiency delivered by dedicated DHTS across varied driving conditions. The optimal architectural choice is therefore not absolute, but hinges on a balance of target cost, vehicle application, and the prioritization of performance versus maximum efficiency.
