چکیده مقاله:

Human activity is overloading our atmosphere with carbon dioxide and other global warming emission. These gases act like a blanket, trapping heat. The result is a web of significant and harmful impacts, from stronger, more frequent storms, to drought, sea level rise and extinction. Renewable energy technologies are the rational solution in terms of fossil fuels replacement to overcome global warming and the exhaustive nature of fossil fuels and an essential to the future of the human race. But due to climate variability and seasonality, renewable resources such as wind and solar radiation do not produce a constant source of energy that leads to challenges in power system operation and control. This paper provides evidence, through the statistical analysis of weather and renewables data in California, that climate variables can have considerable impact on renewable power generation such as wind turbines, hydroelectric power stations and solar power plants. The meteorological and renewable energy production datasets were gathered through California Irrigation Management Information System and The California Independent System Operator and will be analyzed using R software.
