چکیده مقاله:

The piezo-catalyzed organic synthesis is favored over conventional solid-state reactions because of achieves an improvement in the yield and selectivity of products. In this study, ZIF-۸, a metal-organic framework (MOF)-based piezocatalyst with an average diameter of ~۳۰۰ nm, was synthesized in aqueous solution at room temperature and then agitated by ball milling (BM) to produce disulfide bonds (R-S-S-R) from thiol bonds (R-SH). Inspired by the piezoelectricity of ZIF-۸, ۱-butanethiol was oxidized to ۱,۲-dibutyldisulfane at ۴۵۰ rpm for ۱۲۰ minutes (every ۱۵ minutes, ۵ minutes of rest). The ZIF-۸ particles were characterized with PXRD and SEM images to investigate their crystalline structure as well as morphology. Besides, the successful oxidation of thiol to disulfide was confirmed by ۱H-NMR and GC-MS analyses.
