چکیده مقاله:
This integrative review delineates the strategic role of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) in climate change mitigation and environmental sustainability. Applying the Ability, Motivation, Opportunity (AMO) framework and Resource Based View (RBV), empirical data shows GHRM practices, including green recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and employee empowerment, positively influence environmental performance. These practices foster a green psychological climate and sustainability oriented organisational cultures. Evidence from developing economies like India and Kenya indicates GHRM implementation remains largely informal, fragmented, and lacks systematic integration into core HR processes. Key determinants facilitating GHRM adoption include governmental policy, managerial commitment, technological resources, and strategic advantages like reputation enhancement, resource efficiency, and innovation capacity. Conversely, barriers such as limited managerial engagement and resource constraints hinder optimal implementation in developing contexts. The review concludes organisations must institutionalise green HR policies, augment technological infrastructure, foster leadership driven green cultures, and ensure regulatory adherence to harness GHRM potential. Future recommendations highlight longitudinal and comparative research to refine frameworks, emphasizing its profound strategic importance in sustainable development and global initiatives.
