چکیده مقاله:

Technological advancements over the past decade have transformed dentistry from a traditionally procedure-based discipline into a highly advanced, data-driven field. The development of digital technologies, particularly computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), intraoral scanners, three-dimensional imaging systems, and ۳D printing technologies, has fundamentally changed the processes of diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical execution in restorative dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Among these innovations, ۳D printing has emerged as one of the most significant additive manufacturing technologies, enabling the accurate and rapid fabrication of diagnostic models, surgical guides, dental prostheses, clear aligners, and even bioengineered structures, thereby playing a critical role in personalized dental treatment. In recent years, the integration of digital technologies with artificial intelligence and advanced imaging systems has significantly improved treatment accuracy and the predictability of clinical outcomes. Despite their extensive advantages, these technologies are associated with several challenges, including high equipment costs, limitations of printable materials, the need for specialized training, and concerns related to sterilization and material durability. The aim of this article is to comprehensively evaluate the role of digital technologies and ۳D printing in restorative dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery, analyze their clinical applications, assess their advantages and limitations, and discuss future perspectives regarding their impact on modern dental treatment.
