چکیده مقاله:

A centrifuge is a machine that uses centrifugal force to separate components of different densities from a single mixture. The decanter centrifuge, which separates continuously solid materials from liquids in the slurry, has become a major processing device in a wide range of liquid-solid separation applications. The main rotating assembly of decanter centrifuge consists of two co-axial non-synchronous rotors, namely: the bowl and the scroll (screw conveyor). There is a differential speed between the decanter bowl and the scroll to determine the solid content in the outfeed. Dynamic behavior of decanter centrifuges is of great interest to industrial researchers. One of the major influential parameters on vibrations and dynamic behavior of decanter centrifuges are vibration absorbers. In this research, a finite element model is used to study the effects of stiffness of vibration absorbers on dynamic behavior of horizontal decanter centrifuges. Six cases in which the status of vibration absorbers is different, are considered and the results are compared and analyzed.
