چکیده مقاله:

Centrifugal fans are significant contributors to occupational and environmental noise pollution, posing risks to worker health and productivity. This study systematically evaluates noise control interventions to identify the most effective methods for mitigating noise exposure in industrial settings. A systematic review and meta-analysis (SR-MA) was conducted following PRISMA ۲۰۲۰ and evaluated using AMSTAR۲ guidelines. English and Persian articles published between ۱۹۹۶ and ۲۰۲۵ were considered, and finally, ۱۶ peer-reviewed studies were retrieved from PubMed, ISI Web of Science, Jstor, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Zendy, Wiley, Cochrane, IEEE Xplore, and Semantic Scholar in January ۲۰۲۵. Study quality was assessed using MMAT ۲۰۱۸, and statistical analysis was performed via JASP v۰.۱۹.۲.۰, applying a random-effects model (REM) due to high heterogeneity (Q= ۱۴۷۳.۰۹۸, I = ۹۹.۹۵۲%). Variability in study methodologies suggests potential bias and inconsistency in results. Meta-analysis revealed a significant overall effect size (ES) of ۴.۳۵۷ (۹۵% CI: ۲.۹۰۷-۵.۸۰۷, p<۰.۰۰۱, SE = ۰.۷۴۰), confirming the effectiveness of noise reduction (NR) methods. Noise-absorbing materials (NAMS) had the highest ES (۱۶.۱۰۰, t = ۰), followed by silencers (SILS, ES = ۵.۴۲۶, t = ۲.۴۴۹). Design modifications (DMS, ES = ۳.۹۶۷, t = ۲.۱۸۶), including volute tongue (VT) adjustments and fan blade serrations (FBSS), further reduced tonal noise (TN). The ۹۵% prediction interval (PI) (-۰.۱۴۳ to ۸.۸۵۷) highlights potential variability across industrial applications. This SR-MA underscores the importance of NAMS, SILS, and CFD-driven design optimizations in controlling ONP. Future research should explore bio-inspired structures (BISS) and multi-objective NR strategies for enhanced industrial noise mitigation.
