Evaluation of Standard Penetration Test in Tehran Oil Refining Company

REY area has been located in Tehran Province and several archaeological ruins of this area indicate that the settlement in this area has been started since several thousand years ago. This paper represents one of the Standard penetration tests. The objective of carrying out standard penetration test is to obtain the index related to ground strength properties. At the same time, change of ground strength properties by polluting oil will be also investigated. Standard penetration test was carried out for the ۱۵ Monitoring Wells (MW) located in REY Industrial Area. In this test the depth of excavation has been considered, so that from G.L.-۳m the test has been conducted every ۲m until G.L.-۲۹m (totally ۱۴ points). Depth of MW is ۳۰m.
