چکیده مقاله:

The determination of soil geotechnical properties is a fundamental aspect of civil engineering that ensures the stability and safety of structures. Traditional mechanical testing methods, while reliable, are often time-consuming and may not capture the micro-scale interactions governing soil behavior. Recent advancements in analytical chemistry have provided new tools for characterizing the composition and structure of soil matrices with high precision. This review article explores modern analytical techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and spectroscopic methods, highlighting their application in geotechnical engineering. We compare the accuracy and efficiency of these chemical methods against conventional mechanical testing protocols. Furthermore, the challenges associated with sample preparation, data interpretation, and the correlation between chemical composition and macro-scale engineering properties are discussed. The integration of these analytical methods into standard engineering practice offers significant potential for improving the prediction of soil behavior under various loading conditions. Ultimately, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive resource for researchers and engineers seeking to adopt advanced analytical chemistry techniques in soil mechanics.
