The present study was conducted to determine the effect of environmental factors on the concentration of fungal bioaerosols in a hospital. The air samples were collected using a one-stage Anderson sampler and a particle mass counter between September ۲۰۱۹ and February ۲۰۲۰. In total, ۴۳ fungal samples were collected from the air of the wards and outdoors of a hospital in Jask City, Iran. Data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. The fungal species were found to be most numerous in this study were Penicillium (۳۶.۱۹%), Cladosperium (۲۹.۰۴%), and Aspergillus (۲۱.۹۰%). The highest and lowest densities of fungal bioaerosols were found in the internal ward and the infectious emergency ward, respectively. The results demonstrated a significant two-way correlation between temperature and fungal concentration (P=۰.۰۲۸). Additionally, a significant two-tailed correlation was found between the concentration of fungi in CFU/m۳ and the number of companions accompanying the patients (P = ۰.۰۱۳). The highest and lowest densities of fungal bioaerosols were found in the internal ward and the infectious emergency ward, respectively. Managing the entry and exit of visitors and companions of patients to hospital wards as well as Installing an air purifier system is important in reducing airborne particles.
