چکیده مقاله:

Effective management of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) in hospitals is critical for ensuring patient safety, protecting healthcare workers, and minimizing environmental impact. This study presents a comprehensive review of global strategies implemented in hospital settings to enhance HSE outcomes. Relevant literature published between ۲۰۱۰ and ۲۰۲۵ was systematically identified through databases including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. Findings indicate that successful HSE management relies on continuous staff training, fostering an organizational safety culture, implementing integrated HSE management systems based on international standards, and utilizing modern technologies for monitoring and controlling environmental risks. Proper medical waste management and active involvement of senior management were also identified as key factors contributing to improved performance. Hospitals adopting these strategies reported reduced occupational accidents, enhanced compliance with environmental regulations, and improved overall healthcare quality. The review highlights that context-specific adaptation of these strategies is essential to maximize effectiveness in different healthcare settings. In conclusion, integrating structured HSE management practices can significantly improve safety, environmental sustainability, and operational efficiency in hospitals worldwide, providing a practical framework for policymakers and hospital administrators.
