چکیده مقاله:
Calculation of reservoir characteristics is considered one of the most important tasks in petroleum engineering. Among reservoir characteristics estimating SCAL properties are really crucial as it has enormous effect on multi-phase flow of fluids in reservoir. This research provides a comprehensive methodology for analyzing relative permeability data considering all situations may accrue during SCAL data analysis. The main strategy is to exploit measured SCAL data from the field under study. In situations where Special Core Analysis (SCAL) data is not available for a specific rock type, two methods of SCAL data from a nearby field and correlations are proposed to provide representative SCAL data. Depending on the type of data available, different methodologies are used for analyzing SCAL data with the purpose of introducing representative relative permeability curves to be used in reservoir simulation. SCAL data in the reservoir B of the Field A do not cover all defined six rock types. For those rock types in reservoir B with SCAL data from Field A, analyses are conducted based on rock typing and reservoir layering. In situations where SCAL data is not available for a specific rock type, two methods including SCAL data from nearby Field C and correlations are used to provide representative SCAL data.
